Matt J. Ulrich – Partner, Director of Investment Research

Matt is Partner, Director of Investment Research at Ulrich Investment Consultants. Matt came to Ulrich after a year-long tenure as a Valuation Associate with Andersen Tax, a global company that provides tax, valuation, financial advisory, and consulting services. Matt works closely with the investment team at Ulrich in areas of fund research and ongoing quarterly monitoring. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining tools and analytics associated with portfolio modeling and construction, manager research and monitoring, and performance measurement. Matt also assists in the development of comprehensive financial plans for the firm’s clients.

Matt obtained a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018 after completing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with Honors. While at the University of Texas, Matt remained actively involved in leadership positions as the Financial Officer of Texas Iron Spikes, and the Fundraising Coordinator for Pi Tau Sigma. He is currently a CFA Level II Candidate. Outside of the office Matt enjoys fly fishing, classical guitar, and is highly skilled in furniture making.
